Flower Friday ...

... anniversary roses.

I sat out on the deck before lunch as they were calling for afternoon showers.  Thankfully the rain never happened and we were able to get out for a walk before supper.

One of our overwintered black swallowtail butterflies emerged this afternoon and we released him into the sunshine.  I took some photos of him on these beautiful anniversary flowers but I wasn't thrilled with any of them.  So you'll just have to take my word for it that the swallowtail was gorgeous.
