Gently down the stream

Pink Oxalis

Oxalis articulata

Not a lot of blipping time today.  Much of it was spent with a couple of friends, both of whom have birthdays this week.  It seemed odd to be meeting as a threesome, but very nice!

However, the shot..  Two doors along from me is a little cut that goes up steps to the bus stopThe City Council has given up spraying weedkiller along the edges (which I'm not sorry about) but that means bramble is infiltrating.  I have been slowly chopping this back.  Underneath there are some rather lovely wildflowers.  This one is pink oxalis, which is, apparently, a garden escape from South America.  Very delicate and pretty and part of the Wood-Sorrel family.

Hope your day's gone well, lovely peeps  xx
