On The Beach

An improvement in the weather and after Brunch we decide on a drive with a walk and picnic included.

Our first choice was Craigtoun Park. By the time we arrived the car park was full. Our next choice was the West Sands at St Andrews.

We drove along to the North End where there are very few people. Today’s Blipfoto and extra show that.

It was a cold wind blowing onto the shore and the tide was coming in quite quickly.

We met a woman who had dropped her phone and was looking for it, helped by her very playful dog. Of course the sound of the sea was very loud and the sea was advancing fairly quickly.

I suspect that the phone was already under the waves.

After our rather fine picnic we decided to head home, and by the long way. I managed to find some roads we had not travelled before and headed back along roads already travelled but in the opposite direction.

We drove through Hill of Tarvit estate, which is looking very well.

The good news we received today is that the House opens on June 13. at the weekends.  We are really looking forward to reopening this wonderful house.

Spring is well advanced wherever we travel. The most dominant flower this year is the Dandelion. They are on the main entry.

The chestnut fencing is to protect the dunes which have been reinforced with Marin grass and buried tree cuttings. The fence is shown in the second photo.

It is now 5:30 p.m. Time for a late lunch. All of today’s Photos were taken with my iPhone SE2020. I state this because the metadata is still not displaying just now.
