Keeping up with the Joneses

Hilary posted a super shot today of a Military Orchid with a Bee Fly seemingly sheltering among the florets.   My offering is the humble Poet's Narcissus with a visitor enjoying the sunshine.   It's nice to imagine great swathes of the narcissus flowering on the hillsides above Lake Geneva, as indeed they probably are right now.

A quiet Saturday mostly at home.  Clearing the spare room for Ruth's visit and pleased that I seem to have fixed the toilet seat which had come off!    I managed an hour out in the garden this afternoon wielding a pickaxe as I excavate the footings for the greenhouse base.   A few more hours hard labour required yet but all progress is good progress.   An hour is about  how long a lemon cake takes to cook.   Thanks Jamie! :-)
