Day 421 It's Mono Monday

It's Mono Monday but I've made no attempt to go with the theme which is 'Rhymes with pick'.  Instead I have yet another portrait of my lockdown buddy Peggy Sue.  Today, of course marks an easing in restrictions  in England at least:  we can now sit indoors to eat and drink in restaurants and pubs, which given the recent appalling weather is a welcome relief.  Apparently we can now socialise indoors generally in limited numbers and hug loved ones....
This morning Mr MC went into work (as you do when you're retired!) and then onto the supermarket.  This afternoon he fetched Violet from school before taking her back to her mummy this evening.  With all this activity on his part and several rain showers, I'm afraid I didn't get my walk.  I did have a moment of excitement or rather annoyance though, when our new garden arch from Robert Dyas was delivered by DX in a most cavalier fashion to put it mildly.  The pieces were only partly wrapped with one piece just thrown on top and one of the trellis sides was broken.  There were no delivery documents and the QR code to access assembly instructions was damaged beyond use.  The driver cared not one jot.  I expect that the complaints process will occupy me for the next day or so!
