Hot blooms

Showing lovely strong colours in the garden at the moment, the two Rhododendrons are in pots and the Azaleas are in the ground. Hot even without the sun.

I’ve chosen them today for flower Friday to represent a wonderful lady we have said goodbye to this morning.
An amazingly larger than life person exuding Christian faith,  spiritual guidance and friendship in our church as a licensed preacher. Her sermons were always interesting and worth listening to and as well as being a great speaker she was great listener, she made so many friends. She also conducted my granddaughter’s baptism service two and a half years ago

I would really have liked to have been there today but we weren’t sure about numbers so I stayed at home and watched the service on Zoom. Chris was verger and he said the church was pretty much to capacity for social distancing, they finished tithe service by singing outside the church as they aren’t allowed to sing inside yet.

These flowers echo some of the vibrancy that was Mavis, we will all miss her.

Happy weekend everyone and an extended weekend for everyone in the UK. Might even be warm and sunny.
(Good job I photographed these this morning as it has drizzled all afternoon!)
