A day in the life

Speeding up

About this time of year after my birthday, I often feel like everything is going faster and faster. Probably because Many things around me in nature seems to be vanishing, the apple blossoms are gone in the wind and rain, the early spring flowers are over, the birds are all feeding their newbornes and the trees has all got their leaves. Of course nothing is vanishing at all, it's just getting ready for the next face of development, getting ready for summer and developing fruit. Today the first harvest of grass for feeding the animals towards autumn and winter has been cut down and soon will be stored away in the barns. The waiting for summer has turned into the realisation that summer is already here.

The chestnut trees has got their magnificent flowers now and the bumblebees at very busy but we think there are much fewer bumblebees and bees around than normal, let's hope we're wrong.

In the evening a few of us was invited to a couple of friends for a birthday dinner. He makes pottery and she makes little sculptures that she lets inhabit the garden. Last year they put some new plaster on a wall and let one of "the little people" climb the wall.

The warm weather is back again, after a week of cold winds and rain.
