A day in the life

Lunch break view

It was a terrific success, the dance-show I helped out today at the theatre in Kalmar. After three rehearsals everyone felt confident and the actual performance was flawless. They were so happy. None of the participants are professionals, ageing from ten to thirty they are all part of different groups working together to create this performance. I love being a small part of the process.

The sunny day was inviting me to have lunch, and an ice cream outside the back of the theatre overlooking the beautiful canal, part of the old defence system in the late 16 hundreds, and the old water tower, in use between 1900 and 1976, when the new tower was ready for use. Today the tower holds eleven flats for rent. I've never seen any of the flats and always wondered how you furnace a flat with circular walls.
