Banded Demoiselle (M)

Brian went back to work today despite it being a Bank Holiday. I got on with a few jobs at home, including sorting out a list for doing the Tesco shop.

Once Brian was home and we'd had lunch we went and did the shopping. Once that was put away we headed off for a walk by the river to look for butterflies. Other than a few elusive Orange Tips though we did not see any. There were a few other insects and I managed to fluke a shot of this banded demoiselle. (Thanks Bri and Linxpix for helping with correct identification!)

I like Demoiselles - they are a bit creepy though, like a spider in fancy dress!
