Barred Owl Fledgling

Wendy and I had a spectacular morning out at Dyke Marsh with the highlight being this little critter.  Wendy had done her homework, as always, and knew that there were barred owls at this location, but we would have never seen them had it not been for another photographer and birder who pointed out this fledgling and its mother ( see extra).  We would have walked right past with our mouths flapping away as they do when we get together.

The foliage was dense and the lighting was poor, but we were happy.
