What's in a Name?

I love Caladiums! They are native to the banks of the Amazon River in South America. Their leaf patterns and colors seem endless since there are over 1000 named cultivars from the original plant collected in South America. This one is a Caladium bicolor, called 'Heart of Jesus'.  Each year I purchase a few that are new to me and plant them in our front yard where the conditions seem perfect for them; plenty of light but very little direct sun exposure and damp ground to grow in. I don't even attempt to keep track of their names although, as I recall, some of them are  quite descriptive and funny! An example is today's *extra: 'Frog In A Blender', which is naturally, a personal favorite of mine! ;)
