A day in the life

Sunday concert

Second concert i the Garden of my friend Marianne, who is letting her garden turn into a stage during summer time. It's the second summer she's doing this, last year it was possible to gather 50 people and since her garden is big enough for them to spread out, she could go through with it. The success continues.

Today was a single artist, a young woman singing her own songs and playing the guitar. Often these artists are called "singer songwriter", which could be a kind of diminishing title, Bob Dylan started as one for instance. This young woman is good with words, sings and pronounce very well (not always the case with singer songwriters) and she has a really good way of addressing the audience.  She is also not very good with heat, which made us change the location into a shaded part of the garden instead of the usual place in the sun, where it was close to 40 degrees. It was such a good place we might use it more times if the weather is like this.

My job was organising the sound equipment and to be the sound technician during the concert. All went well but it's been a long day in the sun, from 12 to 19 so I'm on my way to bed and will be commenting tomorrow.
