Birds and flowers at Long Branch Farm

Wednesday
Today followed a similar pattern to yesterday, Laura working in the morning, while I was doing my Duolingo Italian, doing a bit of housework, and looking over her final paper for her, which is due on Sunday, while Roger finally had a physiotherapy appointment for his knee - it’s about theee weeks now since he injured it - he had to wait that long for an appointment. He’s been doing some exercises the doctor suggested, but the physiotherapist told him not to do a couple of those - not yet at any rate! We leave on a two week trip on Sunday, so further appointments will follow when he gets back!
After lunch, we went hiking at Long Branch Farm. As you can see in my collage, some of the herons are still in the rookery, and we found the very photogenic swallow in the meadow area, sitting on a nesting box. Some lovely bright colored flowers added to our enjoyment.
It was a beautiful evening for dinner out on the patio, watching and listening to the birds at the feeders. After dinner, Laura beat us at Boggle as usual, even though she was jet-lagged and about ready for bed!
