Oxeye Visitor

I think it would probably be a bit of a cheek to label this shot for Flower Friday.  This tiny visitor to the oxeye daisies kindly kept very still for me while I took this shot today.  To give you an idea of just how small this little fellow is, I have put up an extra of a hoverfly on the same sort of flower.

Most times after taking a shot and reviewing it on the camera monitor I'm not too sure I've really got anything there, but just occasionally I get a "you know what, that might really be alright" moment.  It is only when I see it on a larger screen that I can really be sure.   But when I looked at this little fellow the camera  today, I had one of those positive moments and I'm rather pleased with the end result.

The extra hoverfly is about the size of a small bumblebee which it mimics.  There are about 200 species of hoverfly, so I am not going to even try to guess which one it is.  I didn't notice when I was taking the shot, as they are so small, but there are some really small spiders on the oxeye daisy at its feet.
