It should have been my blip but I couldn't resist this one :-))

Our Golden Girl is four today.  Four!  I can't believe it.

Of course the day she was born we had no idea this bundle of joy would be coming to live with us and be our first family fur baby.  Even when our friend Carole (Lola's breeder) invited me to visit to photograph the litter, I had no idea we would end up bringing one of those fluffy butter balls home two weeks later.  She is the best impulse decision we ever made and the best 21st birthday pressie we could have bought for Alan.

She started her fourth birthday as she starts every day, with a raised eyebrow from her cosy bed when David goes into the kitchen in the morning, followed by cuddles and breakfast.  

A great walk up on the moor followed by an afternoon nap (for Lola not me :-)) then it was time to sing Happy Birthday and give Lola her card and pressies; a new blankie, treat dispenser, treats and tuna and cherry tomatoes with her dinner.

She's been made such a fuss of today (even more so than normal) with lots of cuddles and tickles.  She's now snuggled in her blankie on the sofa beside David, having her ears tickled. 

It's a dog's life right enough :-)
