Today's walk by Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers was, for me, a rather local and familiar one. We met at the Town House in Denny and walked along the new path behind the Community Centre and from there into Chacefield Wood (pictured).

A walk through the wood was the main part of the walk, and after a short stretch alongside the main road into Denny, we cut down towards Mydub Farm and then the Herbertshire Playing fields. It stayed pleasantly warm and the rain that had been forecast for the end of our walk didn't materialise.
