Friends

Friend Helen and I drove out to Grassington this morning to visit with friend L who is presently going through her chemotherapy regime for breast cancer.  It was a smashing couple of hours sitting outside her sister's house in the sunshine with a view over the rooftops to the Dales beyond.  L is remarkably strong and positive,  having decided how she will approach this tough time in her life.  There was much reminiscing and setting of the world to rights, with a sprinkling of laughter.

Apologies for my blip which was taken on my phone and really does not do justice to the view.

The remainder of the day has been spent following the fortunes of the GB teams in the Relay event at the World Orienteering Championships.  Sadly it was not a glorious effort, possibly reflective of the fact that there have been few opportunities for training and competing during lockdown on the kind of terrain they have faced in the Czech Republic.
