A day in the life

Sunset session

The concert season is really awakening after a year of nothing at all. Still the concerts are mostly held outdoor but some indoor concerts are starting as well, though with a limited audience, depending on the size of the place.

This evening was the first one of three "Sunset sessions" concerts, organised by a private company, one of the local sound and light technicians. He sets up a stage at the edge of the big plain on Öland, "Alvaret", and invites local artists to play. Usually two artists share two hours to do their performance. The concert is "free" in the sense that no one is charged a ticket fee but are encouraged to send a sum of money to the organiser of the concert so he can pay the artists. Last summer there wasn't any concerts but before that he had run them for at least three years and now he continues doing them. This evening pulled a crowd of at least a hundred people and the weather was nice and mild, though a bit windy.
The main is from the last act, it wasn't really that dark but my phone wanted it to be and I thought it transmits the atmosphere. The extra is a sky-shot that arrived at the last chord.
