Monday: The Favourite Tree …

… and the distant beach, only 5 minutes down the road but felt much too far to walk in the oppressive heat. We have an extreme heat weather warning for the next 3 days, don’t thing we’ve had this before?
My walk down the lane was an escape from the builders who are removing the old cement from an outside wall, the noise not as bad as having to have all windows closed to keep the dust out …
The builders who did all the hard work this morning had coffees and teas - they even took up my offer of sitting in the coolness of the garage to eat their lunch with tea …
Spent many hours sitting by the open windows at the front of the house reading - MrD on deliveries all day but popped home for lunch and to check on progress.
Gardening jobs: watering tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes; covering/uncovering seedlings, picking raspberries
