Pittenweem Harbour

This is a working harbour with fishing boats which go out daily to catch Lingoustines, Lobsters and Crabs.

When I joined Blipfoto at the turn of the year, after reading about it in an online newspaper, I had a feeling I was going to enjoy it, but I had no idea just how much I would enjoy it, or how large a part of my life it would become.
I’m not a hugely social person, yet love communicating with people. I had searched for an online community that would suit my needs, but never could find the right thing.
The fact that I have been here for 200 days, and loved every minute of it, is testament to the friendship, kindness and support of other members. Also the joy of seeing all those wonderful images and reading the journals of members from all over the world. I think it’s a very generous thing when people share so much of their lives with others.
Blipfoto came along at just the right time for me, after a year of pandemic enforced social isolation, I had learned a great deal about myself and other people. I knew very clearly what I wanted and needed in my life from then onwards.
There’s a saying that, if you keep chasing a butterfly it will continue to evade you, but if you sit quietly it may come and rest on your shoulder. That’s how I feel about Blipfoto. I stopped searching for what I needed, and the right thing just appeared.
