Worker Bee

Went to bed feeling down last night, ended up in tears.....found myself shuffling over to the "other" side of the bed, first time Ive done that. I did get to sleep though, didnt wake until after 7.....felt a little brighter. Had breakfast then got myself ready to hit the road, as I was meeting sis in Manchester. Traffic was really slow heading into the city centre. Was 15 mins late parking up.....sis on the other hand had been there for 40 mins, her dentist appointment was over much quicker than expected lol!

We wandered around M&S, didnt see a thing that we remotely fancied....we headed to the more independent shops, so much better, we both made purchases ;-) we headed to Dune, their sale was on, sis was really lucky, as she always is in the sales, as she only takes a size 3...... two pairs of sandals and a lovely bag later, we had a refreshing sparkling water, with semi frozen berries and mint, before heading to the Arndale, where we tackled Next, River Island & the Apple Shop! A pitstop in Preta for lunch too.....a lovely tuna and egg salad box, their coffee wasnt bad either! Decided to leave the Apple Shop for another visit, I need to do some research before I get a new ipad, rather than an impluse buy.....well in terms of which model I mean.

Todays blip is the symbol of Manchester, its worker bee, made completely of what looks like fresh flowers, but not sure that they can be, as it wouldn't last in this heat, but it looked wonderful in the bright sunlight against the blue sky!

Back to the car park, where we paid our eye watering charges, nearly £25 between us!!!
Followed sis out of themcity centre, she indicated right, at some T lights, I hesitated then followed, but had seen a sign saying buses only :-0, sis said later she hadnt seen it, and had always gone home that way, so fingers crossed fines dont follow :-/ There were road closures en route back, I followed sis as wasnt sure where we were, turned out to be a long way round, took twice as long, the temperature topped 31'degrees too!!!

Once back, we dumped our bags, Kobi came wiggling to the door to greet us......he had been left home with all the cuetains shut and a big upright fan blowing onmhim. We then took him out on the top field, where its very shaded by lots of big trees, no way would she take him out on the roads or in the direct sun in this heat.

We got back, had a an iced tonic water whilst we waited for BiL to come back from work, as he had informed sis that tonight was "curry night" .....we didnt complain :-) A quick change and we were ready, I drove us into Manchester, parked on a metre right opposite the restaurant.....had my usual, as good as ever, slightly hotter than usual, but oh so good, washed down with a beer.

We were back home by 7.30, had a chat for a dhort while, I left for home around 8.30, got back around 9.15, watered all,the baskets and tubs, unpacked my bags, got changed, opened up,all the windows upstairs then sat down with a brew.

Have to be up early tomoz as the electrician is due at 9am, so best put my alarm on lol!

I hope I can sleep ok tonight.......it feels verymwarm again, fingers crossed.
