Mono Monday

Did'nt see much sunshine today, the plot could do with some though now we've had plenty of rain to give it a good soaking.
An early stint on the plot,  lifted a row of spuds, full of worm & slug holes, pulled beetroot, picked runner & broad beans, spotted a couple more gherkins hiding away under foliage .. Not sure if there will be enough to fill a jar, they are so random in appearing, a bit of fun to grow but won't bother again. Carrots are good, so that is a result for first year of growing. The courgettes never fail to perform. A quick chat with Richard & Shirley, Richard having the same problem with his potato crop, he's not going to bother growing next year he said. They normally lift and store their potatoes to take them through the winter, so very disappointed.
Walked Indie then back home to get the laundry sorted, before watching more Olympics. More gold for GB .. we are 6th on the medals table below China, Russia, Canada, USA, & Australia, no in that order necessarily but doing fantastically well for a small nation. Go Team GB!!

I did snap the pylons on the heath for today;s challenge but having used them before I wanted to come up with another subject .. Da dah!! My sewing box. I've had it about 35 years, & still going strong. Some things are built to last. I love the dovetail, not sure if these are dovetail joints thinking about it, anyway I love the detail on the corners.
