Common Darter

Another short walk in the afternoon after the live Olympics had finished and the weather was much better than expected with plenty of sunshine.
I've not seen many dragonflies this year so it was nice to see quite a few common darters about today.

A fabulous and frenetic day for Team GB in Tokyo with EIGHT medals today. There was a lot of action quite early in the morning with the diving, cycling, sailing and boxing and there was a lot of channel flicking going on from my sofa :)
In the sailing we won 2 Golds and 1 Silver, Jack Laugher won the bronze in the 3m springboard final quickly followed by 2 silvers in the velodrome for the men's team sprint and the women's team pursuit. There was a boxing silver for Pat McCormack and a fabulous silver on the track for 19 year old Keely Hodgkinson in the 800m. 6 out of the 8 women ran personal bests and it was a great race.

Number of GB Medals today = 2G, 5S, 1B
Cumulative Medals = 13G, 17S, 13B (still holding onto 6th in the medal table).
