Day 500 The seal of approval

Yesterday at the garden centre we bought, amongst other things, a weigela to replace the dying one that had become a bird feeder rather than a shrub.  In the few days after the old one had been dug out, the was much consternation amongst the feathered visitors as their peanuts and suet blocks had moved to the patio table.  Now the new (and much smaller) weigela has been planted and a simple sheherd's crook pole installed to carry the peanut feeder.  It has been less than 24 hours for the larger birds to accept the new arrangement.  The jays and great spotted woodpecker also visited, but I did rather like this mapie waiting his turn while the jackdaw fed.  A bit of a rubbish photo as taken through glass from way back in the dining room as they take flight if I step anywhere near the windows!

Many many thanks to all of you who were kind enough to comment on, star and even heart my 2000th blip yesterday. Peggy Sue is delighted to be featured on page 2 of Popular blips and she thanks you too!
