Tansy Visitor

I decided on a visit Guildford today combined with a walk along the Godaling Navigations of the River Wey from Artington.  It is just over a mile walk into the city centre along the river and across water meadows, and with free parking much easier (and probably greener) than trying to navigate the traffic, especially as google maps traffic showed a sea of red and amber roads in the central area!

Grabbing a take-away lunch and sat in the castle grounds watching a bowls match. Thinking back on when my late father played, I marvelled how times have changed. Back then (up to early 2010s) dress code was strictly formal: white trousers, white shirts and ties, which on really hot days the captain gave permission to remove!  Today's teams were dressed in rugby shirts in club colours and grey/white trousers or shorts. Much more comfortable and would have suited Dad down to the ground!

As I was walking back to the car, I saw this tiny fly on a wild Tansy by the side of the river. Just the job for this weeks Tiny Tuesday challenge image.
