No straight lines in nature...

It is said, by post-renaissance gardeners and by physicists, that nature abhors a straight line. Even the seemingly linear crystalline shapes or the hexagonal eye lenses of insects are curved if you look closely enough. Light, which one would assume to be moving in a straight line, is curved by everything around it, as gravitational forces take their toll. The distance between two points is never a straight line - look at the flight paths of airplanes. So when I saw the seemingly straight lines within this Phormium leaf, I had to help ensure no linearity prevailed. Organically. ;-)
