The Edge of the Wold

Preston station

This is how my brain is feeling at the moment, scrambled. It has been a very long day, an early train to London and I have only just arrived home. The timings of my meeting left no opportunity for escape into town, but looking out of the window it was a very grey day. The four chimneys of the Battersea Power Station disappeared and reappeared out of the murk. There was an article in the Guardian today about how bad the air pollution in London is, and the evidence appeared to be there before our eyes.

And Wifie and Gus are having an even longer day. She is stranded in Ulverston after the car failed to start, now waiting for the RAC to rescue her. Fortunately, she was at work and is sat in the warm with Gus meeting her nursing colleagues, and making more friends.
