New Bike Ride

My bike had to go in for its one year service. I've had about 16 months now but it seemed to be going along alright until I got a puncture. Then I thought I'd book it and the could do the puncture too.

You know how it is when you rake your car in and you have to walk past all the shiny new cars. It was a bit like that for me today but with bikes. I'd been thinking I'd like one that was a bit lighter than my big brute. They had one that's less than half the weight which has to be good. On the other side, it doesn't put out so much assistance so you have to work harder but maybe that's not a bad thing. Anyway, one way or another I decided to do the deal so I have a shiny new bike. 

By that time the sky was looking darker and rain seemed to threaten. I made a few adjustments to the saddle and put the bag back on and decided I would take it out for a short ride to see how it was. It certainly made me work harder but I seemed to manage the hills OK. Although it has less assistance it has more gears to help. I stopped on the way for a shot of some bullocks in a field. I also stopped part way up a hill to take a photo of the new bike which is in as an extra.
