ORCHID

A few days ago I saw an online offer for 4 Mini orchid plants costing £20 with free postage.  Thought it was a good deal so I sent off for them and they arrived this morning.  There are three pink coloured ones and one yellow.  All are full of flowers.  I've never had much success with orchids in the past but hopefully now I have 4 then there a good chance that at least one will last a good while.  Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.

Haven't done much today - just walked to the village for a bit of shopping.  Weather was warm and dry but not really sunny. 

The big Newcastle United news is that we have finally signed 21 year old Joe Willock from Arsenal.... for a fee of around 22 million pounds.  He was on loan at Newcastle for the second half of last season and did really well - scoring 8 goals.  So its great news that we have managed to sign him up as a permanent player.  Its too late for him to be included in the squad for Sundays game so his first game will be the away match on 21st Aug.
