Nice pile of runners!

So the good news is that the TIA clinic nurse rang early to say his appointment was at midday. That was the best news, and so after a brief 3 hours at work, where I did very little, I drove Jon to the hospital. We both took books to read, as we had been told over all it would be a 4 plus hour stint. He had an ultrasound on his neck, then one where you ho inside the machine laying down, on just his head. The nurses and Dr were so nice, really reassuring and clear in their explanations. The Dr diagnosed a TIA, and she has given Jon medication to take. He must not drive until 17th September and signed him off for a month. Aspirin for the first month, then followed by something else he will need to take for life, as a preventative. Plus a statin. The cause seems likely to be very high cholesterol. Considering Jon doesn't smoke, or drink, has a healthy diet and exercises, it must be hereditary. We are now relaxing and hope that the meds will make minimal any future chances of it happening again, or something worse. We got home after, 5 picking up aspirin from Boots in Cromer - cheaper than a prescription.

Thank you to everyone for the messages of concern and well wishes. My phone texts, WhatsApp Facebook and messenger haven't stopped tinging all day! You have all been so kind with your concern, and he really does now feel fine - just annoyed that he can't drive for a month!

Just been to pick beans to slice, blanch and freeze. I am really pleased with the runner bean plants in my garden this year, so hoping to fill my freezer so that I am self sufficient through the winter in at least runner beans!
