Minifest

Another day in the office, although not much in the office, as I went for lunch with RW, and then coffee with RX, and in the gap in between I sat in Brew Lab awhile. Not worth going back to the office.

Brew Lab seems to have increased the numbers of occupied tables, and I still get anxious when someone I don’t know is sitting next to me.

I commented a couple of weeks ago that levels of email traffic were low. This is definitely no longer the case. They are already sky high, but still rising, with a lot more people copying me in to things that they obviously feel I need to know about. It was officially confirmed today that I am going to be very busy indeed for the next few months.

After all that, a quiet evening at home with Mr A, the TV, and a bottle of wine.

The blip today is intended as a reminder there is a festival going on, but it’s not really a festival as we would know it. Fancy being able to take a traffic free picture of the front of Old College at 9am on an August Friday, with just a lone walker in view. And the extra picks up on the Victorian splendour I photographed a few weeks ago. Festival facilities have been put in place, but not too many people are using them, even though it is a lot busier than it was a few weeks ago. I marvel at those who (a) comment that the city is as busy as ever (no, it isn’t) and (b) complain about the noise (e.g. those living near the Edinburgh Academy festival performance facility which we will be visiting tonight). There’s been nothing, nothing for 18 months, and you complain about a bit of stuff?
