Bee on a thistle

Wednesday
After several rather gloomy days, today the sun was shining, and the humidity somewhat reduced, and Laura wasn’t working at the tutoring centre until 4pm now that all the schools are back, so we all drove up to Twin Creeks Metropark just north of Franklin to do some hiking. We hiked just short of 6 miles, so that partly made up for no exercise yesterday! There was quite a breeze, which was nice for keeping us a bit cooler, but not so good for trying to take pictures of flowers blowing about in the wind! Unfortunately, just as we were arriving home, the tyre pressure warning light came on, and when we pulled into the driveway Roger examined the tyre indicated, and found a screw embedded in the tyre! This was a bit of a blow, since we had been hoping to get off soon after breakfast in the morning, to start our long drive to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with an overnight stop in Pennsylvania. It was too late by this time to call a tyre place, so it will have to wait till the morning!
