Autumn crocus

Whilst we were away, I saw autumn crocuses (croci?) in several gardens (and TonyG has posted several photos), and I kept saying "ours aren't even poking their heads up".  Well, they weren't before we left, but they've shot up over the last week whilst we've been away.

There are now several flowers, and lots of shoots with promise of more to come.  Otherwise, the garden is looking a bit sorry for itself - despite the cool, largely dull cloudy weather - though today has been positively hot, there's been no significant rain for several weeks, so everything is a bit crispy.

In crafting news, I've finished a third rainbow (two for the grandsons, one for the younger daughter), and got some more advice on what to make for Milo with the rainbow alien material.  And we are starting to seriously plan our trip to Sweden for a couple of weeks hence - does anyone know what the rules are on taking gin into the EU - I know you can only import 1 litre per person of duty free - but what about gin bought in the UK, and therefore with UK duty paid?  The younger daughter in particular has a liking for specific UK gins, but can't easily buy them in Sweden.
