Misty Reflections

From the edge of the pond, the hills were in mist but the reflections were so clear.  In another week or so these hills will begin to transform into their vivid autumn colors but for now they hang onto their last bit of rich green.  Actually, the cooler temperatures and fading light allow the trees to show their true colors; red, orange and yellow.  Someone once told me that people are like these trees.  We all work hard during our summer months producing what we need for our autumn and winter years of life and when that time comes we are allowed to show our true colors.  I've always thought that was such a wonderful way to look at these "senior" years.
