There will be horses

A site visit today to the area where the new RDA (Riding for the Disabled) centre will be built. It has been a long, long time in the planning and, meanwhile, the riding group has existed on a shoestring. Borrowed horses, borrowed yards and riding areas, moving every few months. It's been exhausting for the volunteers, the group organisers, the riders and the horses.

It's so good to see the plans (extra 1). We had a walk round the site. It's a part of town I know well as I often walk Flora there. I find it hard to imagine but in a year or two this will be the view from the fantastic new riding facility.

After the walk through we had a picnic lunch provided by the group organisers. Extra 2.

Flora got covered in river mud. She has now had her second shower of the week. She won't need another walk tonight. That's good because the tennis is on C4.
