Castle Sinclair Girnigoe

Fortified by an enormous Caithnesian breakfast we set off in beautiful weather for the long haul home. The road south as far as Helmsdale is twisty and today very slow. It took 90 minutes to get to Brora so we stopped for a walk on the beach and coffee.

Now into Easter Ross which feels busy. All being well home by the end of the afternoon.

Thanks for following the Orkney holiday and for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars. I'm looking forward to being at home after a long time away.

The blip, taken from the car, is ruinous Castle Sinclair north of Wick. The extra is the blue sky first thing this morning. The temperature was in single figures!
