Imp Finale

All the imp statues from the Lincoln Imps Trail that ran through the Summer are now on display in the grounds of the castle until Wednesday. They will then go to be auctioned with proceeds going to the very worthwhile local St. Barnabas Hospice charity. 

Bri and I took a walk up there late morning to take a few shots. It began to drizzle as we walked through the Arboretum, turning into steady rain as we walked. We hoped it would make it less busy at the castle, but there were still plenty of people there. We were not the only ones daft enough to go out in the rain to look at imp statues! 

I have included an extra of the Lincoln Footy Imp. He missed some of his time on display in the city after being smashed up by a fan of Grimsby Town - Lincoln City's fiercest local rivals. The vandal was thankfully caught and fined £4680 after causing almost £20,000 of damage.
