Sunny intervals

There was a nip in the air this morning, and then there were showers... Eben stayed over last night with us, and then I dropped him off at Jack's this morning, to meet up with Ruth and Luca for a planned group park outing.

Then by the time R and I were having lunch in a friend's garden (Marie's) around 1 p.m., it was warm and sunny (at least in our sheltered, south-facing corner).

On the way to Marie's we passed this vivid new mural - a real blaze of colour, livening up the street.  I quite like the way that the artist has turned delicate little snakeshead fritillaries into something the size of a small tree!
