Rufous

I'm going to quick post my Madera Canyon back blips for the 16th, 17th and 18th.  I have put them off long enough.

This little lady is a female Rufous hummingbird. It gets it's name from the color rufous, which is a redish-brown. Sometimes it;s so logical. The extra is a female black-chinned hummingbird soaring past a soaring friend. I only got one quick glimpse of a male Rufous while I was here.  I'm hoping that changes on my next visit. The migration hasn't yet hit its peak.
