Times past

Jenner's, the grand old lady of Princes Street, is awaiting a transformation. The windows now show pictures of the past contrasted with more recent times. A different age caught from the top of a #37 bus.

Too much, too much - a long morning at work trying to shoe horn a million things into a very small space in my life and then a quick trip for a dental clean. Sitting waiting on a squashy sofa was a contrast to what Thursday will be, temperature checked and having to stand outside, the private v NHS Covid created gulf.

Back to do some more work on job descriptions and the application form, fail both to eat a proper meal and to prepare for the two Board meetings I'm chairing this week

Saturday can't come too soon and I shouldn't wish my life away.

But we still have a fuel 'crisis' and Sainsbury's couldn't deliver some basic staples to the Manor. What is the world coming to?
(To what is the world coming??)

One bit of good news: C and L have come up trumps in the Canadian grandparents' visa lottery, allowed to stay 10 years and health service access.
