Sunset at Vila Nova de Arousa

Day 2 of the Spiritual Variant, 16.81 miles from Armenteira to Vila Nova de Arousa. This was a lovely walk, mostly downhill, beginning with the "Ruta da Pedra a de Agua" along the river, with the ruins of many old watermills. It then followed the River Úmua UPstream, before turning west towards the Atlantic and the beaches and harbour of Vila Nova de Arousa.

The rain has gone and it's now hot and sunny again, and this evening I went out for a walk along the seafront as the sun was setting. Tonight we are at a small albergue where there 7 pilgrims staying and little common language :-) Tomorrow we will (hopefully) be getting the boat at noon to sail up the River Ulla to Pontecesures.
