A Gorgeous Fall Day!

I spent much of the day with my almost-4 year old grandson who was in fine fettle today. We did everything from drawing rocket ships to eating lunch together to talking about the foggy morning. I dropped him off at home and went off to play nine holes (the back nine today) with a good friend who's about to leave for 2 weeks in Hawaii. Sigh. But I'm so happy for her! It was an exquisitely gorgeous fall afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together. 

I spotted these mushrooms under a tree on the golf course...all sorts of fungi are sprouting up after the rain. And the extra is a shot of one of the ponds on the course...but that blue sky!
