Last leg of the journey: Badachro

Back-blip

Did a "big shop" at Sainsbury's in Stirling first thing (thankfully no petrol panic there) and called at Dobbies for breakfast before setting off to the NW Highlands.

Intended having a coffee and some lunch in Carrbridge en route but the cafe we went to last year had sadly closed. Had a leg stretch though and spotted this amazing bee having a rest in front of the old packhorse bridge. Does anyone know what kind of bee it is?

We were relieved to finally reach Kinlochewe (still no petrol panic) and Loch Maree. Stopped for a few minutes to admire the view and were blessed with a rainbow, the first of many that holiday.

It was lovely to get to the cottage at Badachro. Everything was just the same. Unpacked, cracked open wine/beer, chilled and enjoyed the views from every window for the rest of the evening :-)
