Incipient Willow Buds

Too windy for Beacon Hill so we went to Dishley Pool instead. In the five days since I was last there with Anne, the leaves of the willows have all turned yellow. And would you believe, you can see the buds that will become goat willow flowers on the stems.

Peaceful, sunny and surprisingly mild.
