Waiting for the bus

We went into Cambridge this morning as my husband had an afternoon Addenbrookes appointment.

After having a snack in town, we sat in the library for a while reading our books. It was cold, damp and raining for much of the day; the library was warm and quiet. It is just a shame that the cafe they used to run on the top floor has been replaced by vending machines; apparently it did not make enough money.

Today's picture was taken as we waited for the bus to take us to Addenbrookes. It was a long eye clinic appointment and as per the COVID-19 rules, I had to sit in the corridor as they no longer allow patients to be accompanied. Strangely I think this depends on the clinic as for some appointments I am allowed in. I sat in the corridor along with others who were waiting, I was reading my book and fell asleep!!!

The temperature at GMT today in my home village was twelve degrees Celsius.
