In the rain

Our plans changed again today. Yesterday we chose to stay at Fidelis rather than journey down late to Woodlands Park, as we were both rather worn out. Today the rain discouraged even opening the door. Not heavy but demoralisingly persistent. Dreary.

Discovered late in the day that it may have been a sensible call, as the militantly anti-vaccination organised co-prdinated interference with those driving on the motorways, by driving in groups across all the lanes at 50 km per hour. The only point they seem to be make in what they say and do is that they want the right (the freedom) to (do whatever they want to do) even when that interferes with everyone else's freedom from the risk of serious illness and disability or death.

Before then I had gone out for a run in one of the short gaps in the rain; this was even shorter than most of the breaks, and I was too early to get around the point as it was still very nearly full high tide. Nevertheless I was able to run a bit and walk a bit and from RangiMarie Crescent I took a photo of the beach house, with the pohutukawa behind. The low cloud and persistent drizzle mean that it was n ot possible to see the water of the bay.
