Fungus

I made a little detour on my walk today - through a ‘nature area’ by the playing fields in Clifford. I went on the off chance of finding some fungi..and came across this little clump on the side of a rotting log. A 10 shot focus stack - taken with the camera balanced on my bag!! I seem to have missed a bit of the front edge, but it looks mostly OK otherwise.

I was lucky to catch a bit of dappled sunlight coming through the trees - a few minutes later the sky was black and it was raining for my walk home!
