SILLY SATURDAY - YAY, IT'S SNOWING!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We heard Mr. HCB yesterday saying that it was too cold to go out into the garden, so he had decided to do one of his Wentworth Wooden jigsaw puzzles - he brought two down from his vast store upstairs and asked Mrs. HCB which one she would choose.  You know she doesn’t do jigsaw puzzles, but said she would like to see the snowy village one done, one of his last year’s Christmas presents, so he started it.  The thing about Wentworth jigsaw puzzles is that they have no actual outside pieces, so it’s just a matter of looking at the different pieces and trying to fit them together.  We heard Mrs. HCB muttering that she couldn’t be doing with all that malarkey so Mr. HCB just sat down and quietly got on with it.

Little did we know that today IT WOULD BE SNOWING!!  How exciting is that?  We crept out into the conservatory, which fortunately has heating, and decided that we would help Mr. HCB to sort out some more of the puzzle.  These have what are called “whimsies” that are in various shapes, and there is even one in the shape of a hedgehog - which made us realise how much we miss our dear friend, Hoggy.  We do hope that he has a nice warm bed under a bush and some dry leaves.

We suddenly realised that it was snowing quite heavily and if you look out, you can see it on the grass - so I guess the wild flower seeds won’t be sown for a few days!

Reeth, Leyburn and I got on quite well, but as you can see Penny Penguin and Snowy were too interested in the snow to help us - but we did quite well and perhaps once the snow has stopped, they will come back and do a bit.

We are very fortunate to live in a nice warm house and felt very sorry when we heard that thousands in the North of England and Scotland are without power and hope they soon manage to sort that out.

Do take care everyone, and don’t go out unless you really have to - I’m sure you all have plenty of food in your cupboards for a couple of days.  In fact, Admirer would have told you all it was silly to go out if you don’t need to!

We are hoping that the snow will still be here at Christmas, but even if it melts for a couple of weeks, perhaps it will come back in time for the festive season.  Somehow, snow at Christmas just adds something, don’t you think?

Anyway, we are off now to have a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows on the top - hope you all have a super day and stay safe.

Love from

JH Ted, Tiny, Snowy, Penny Penguin, Leyburn and Reeth xxxxxx - and we are sure that Hoggy would send his love to you all too!
