Skinny Lister at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut

Today was a two-parter. We were at home in Edinburgh until mid-afternoon. Then we caught the train with Paddy and Caitlin to Glasgow.

In Part 1 I tidied up our back garden after last night's storm. This was a surprisingly easy job, mainly because most of the debris had been blown into the fruit bush border. In fact, there was not single leaf left on the lawn. I returned some bits and pieces back to their rightful places (including the doormat at the back door that had defected to the shed), picked up quite a lot of twigs, and added some leaves to the compost bin. Back indoors again, I composed a blog post about my recent trip to campus, then made a start on writing our Christmas cards.

Part 2 was built around a gig at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow. I have blipped the staircase of the venue. The band was the punk/folk/shanty outfit Skinny Lister, famed for their minute-long weatherman sea shanty about Tomasz Schafernaker. My extra shows them in action, with two of their biggest fans on the left hand side in the front row of the audience. Prior to the gig we dined out on fabulous pizzas at Paesano Pizza. Rather than rush home to Edinburgh we (sensibly) booked an overnight stay afterwards at the Premier Inn at St Enoch's Square.

I have seen only two of the bands listed on the staircase. Can you guess which they are?

Exercise today: walking and dancing (16,348 steps).
