Flower Friday

These lovely things are called Arisaema candidissimum....the palest pink and white hooded blooms pop up late spring before the foliage dominates which is happening now.  I was surprised how quickly the foliage has taken over, it just seems the other day that the blooms were the only things showing.
We've been here two day over nine years, and I usually do a garden photo to show progress over those nine years.  I haven't yet but may do so over the next few days.
Our craft group met for the last time for 2022 this morning, we'll crank up again in February (sometimes March).  This afternoon we got our carpets cleaned which meant moving most of the furniture outside, this evening its still rather damp so most of the furniture is crammed into the kitchen and foyer where there are wooden floors.  Tomorrow I'll get things back in place....the rooms smell lovely.

Covid - only 92 cases today which is pleasing.  Lockdowns are now a thing of the past, today is the first day for the Covid Passport, I didn't have a need to use it today.  We are now in the traffic light system and there is much confusion throughout the different areas.  Auckland, Waikato, Northland (and there maybe others) are in Red, the rest of the North Island and all of the South Island are in Orange.  If we ever get to
Green, life will be totally normal so they say???
The only difference for us is if we wish to go to the gym (no), hairdresser and spa, cinema, cafes, restaurants we have to show our Passports to prove we are double vaccinated.  Of course, masks indoors are mandatary and have been for some time.  Auckland have been in Lockdown 3 for 107 days and today they are given lots more freedom, but with many restrictions too.
Any rate, I'm not bothering to worry about what is going on up there, but keeping an eye on what is happening here which so far is nothing.  But Delta will arrive, that really is a given as from the 15th December our Auckland friends are allowed to travel throughout NZ for the summer holidays.  And they will bring Covid with them.
